Groupe de rock progressif formé en 1999 et composé de MIKE PORTNOY (Dream Theater), PETE TREWAVAS (Marillion), ROINE STOLT (The Flower Kings) et NEAL MORSE (Ex Spock's Beard). Les grandes caractéristiques du groupe, plutôt fréquentes dans le style progressif, tels que des chansons longues, des morceaux à thèmes ou s'entremêlent différentes ambiances musicales, une recherche musicale et harmonique, l'utilisation de synthétiseurs, l'utilisation d'instruments classiques ou d'autres excentricités donnent une vraie personnalité au son Transatlantic.

We are saddened to announce that because of some personal issues that have unfortunately arisen, Daniel Gildenlow will not be able to join us for the first half of the upcoming Transatlantic tour.

However, coming to our rescue will be Ted Leonard of Spock's Beard/Enchant to help us out and step in as Transatlantic's 5th touring member.

Ted will be standing in until Daniel is able to come join back up with us...(we are hoping that will be for the Progressive Nation at Sea cruise and the European tour, but only time will tell...)

In the meantime, please help us wish Daniel all the best and welcome aboard Ted!

Dommage, même si le remplaçant est très bien trouvé.
On se consolera avec la tournée de THE FLOWER KINGS dans la continuité, qui verra à nouveau Stolt et Gildenlöw réunis, mais j'aurais bien aimé voir tout ce beau monde ensemble tant qu'à faire.

Edit:
Étant donné qu'il n'est, a priori, question que de la "[première partie de la tournée]" et du festival en mer Progressive Nation At Sea, on peut présumer que ça ne concerne que les dates Nord et Sud américaines, comme indiqué sur leur calendrier.

Mais comme on pouvait s'y attendre, les deux dates consécutives avant-hier et hier soir à Tilburg ont donné lieu à des concerts spéciaux, les petits veinards ont du prendre leur pied, 3h25 de concert hier soir, excusez du peu :
